Pay page and redirects
What the hosted pay page shows, and how it redirects after payment or expiry.
payment_url in the create-order response points to a page UPINOW hosts for you. Send the customer there directly, or link to it from an email or a WhatsApp message; you do not need to build anything yourself to use it.
What it shows
The page shows your business name, logo and favicon (from Settings, Business), the amount to pay, a QR code and a "Pay with any UPI app" button that opens the customer's UPI app with the amount and your UPI ID already filled in, and a countdown until the link expires.
After payment
Once the payment is confirmed, the page shows the PAID stamp, then sends the customer back to your success_url after 3 seconds, with order_id and status=paid added to it.
After expiry
Once the link expires, the page keeps checking for a late bank alert for 10 minutes; a payment made before expiry can still be confirmed in that window. If nothing arrives, it sends the customer to your failure_url with order_id and status=expired added to it.
Never trust the return parameters
order_id and status on your success_url or failure_url are for display only; a customer can edit them in their browser's address bar. Always confirm the real status by calling Get an order from your own server before you fulfil anything.
